When you combine this with their electronic know how it is only reasonable to expect that they know how to build the best rice cookers. This is not to belittle the other brands out there. They too have some plus points that make them worthy of consideration too.

What you will want to consider seriously before purchasing a rice cooker is exactly what you want to do with it as well as what the maximum amount of money you are willing to pay is. Some of the top of the range Japanese rice steamers are capable of a whole range of cooking options that may or may not be of interest to you. At the same time I do not need all the fancy functionality as all I like to do is cook plain rice. This is something it excels at.
